Head of Family & Divorce Law

Melanie Bromfield

As a Director and the Chief Executive Officer of Legal Arch, Melanie is responsible for ensuring the company promotes our foundational ethos of providing simple and supportive legal services to the firm’s valued clients. With over 15 years of experience in the legal industry complimented with business and entrepreneurial acumen, Melanie is focused on making certain that our clients receive the best possible service across the Legal Arch team.

The responsibilities that come with overseeing and managing the family law services that Legal Arch offers is of paramount importance to Melanie, as she understands that her clients often find themselves heavily reliant on her experience and expertise because of just how impactful their matter outcomes can be. Melanie knows that providing advice, representation, and substantial expertise in an understanding and professional manner is highly valued as an essential part of the practice of law.

Being a well-respected senior family lawyer, Melanie has practiced extensively in this area of law during her time with firms throughout New South Wales and Queensland prior to founding Legal Arch. Melanie has regularly appeared before the Family Court of Australia, the Federal Circuit Court of Australia, and represented clients in the Magistrate, District, and Supreme Courts of Queensland. Following recent changes to the family law Court system, Melanie now staunchly represents her clients in the newly established Federal Circuit & Family Court of Australia. When it comes to family and partner visa applications, Melanie is passionate about helping apply for these types of visas as she understands just how important getting that application approved can be to her clients. As an avid international traveller and someone fascinated with different cultures (plus actually learning Spanish right now!), the opportunity to have such a positive and profound impact on the lives of her clients is truly a rewarding and enriching experience across the board of her legal practice.

Outside of law, Melanie is definitely an animal person and has a strong interest in health, wellness, and clean beauty. In her spare time, Melanie also mentors young women in their entrepreneurial pursuits.
